What is Overflow?
Overflow was built by a contractor for contractors, with the idea in mind that getting a little help in high workload conditions is an option. This site was designed to take off some pressure from your higher-than-normal workflow and distribute it to people who are actively seeking work while still profiting from the contracts. Maybe some contracts that are too far out on the schedule, unexpected injury, personal issues, loss of employees, etc. Whatever the case may be, instead of saying no, this gives you an opportunity to say yes and still be profitable. Getting around the site is easy and convenient with simplicity in mind. Connecting one contractor to another.
Do I have to be a licensed contractor?
No. You don’t have to be a contractor, but depending on the work you are performing, you may need a contractors license.
Managing Your Account
How do I manage my account?
Simply by using your account dashboard, where you have direct access to your account settings, as well as job listings, applications and alerts.
How secure is my information?
You will not be asked to provide any private information such as social security number, bank account info, or even your phone number. Only the info provided in your job profile, business profile, and resume details will be shared.
Am I obligated to pay more to post a job?
No, there are no hidden fees. Unlimited posts with just one subscription.
How do I apply to a job post?
Simply subscribe to our low monthly or yearly fee for full subscription usage. Then it’s as easy as clicking on the link and applying to a job. The poster will receive an email with your resume, and will get back to you at their discretion.
How long do I wait till someone responds to my post?
Depending on your budget for the job, response can be anywhere from minutes to possibly weeks. If you’re waiting longer than a couple of weeks, your price may be too low for what someone will complete the job for.
Why do I need an account if it's free to post?
Everyone needs an account in order to manage job posts, and for all basic communication purposes. If you’d like to be able to apply to job posts, simply subscribe to our low monthly or yearly membership for full subscription usage.
Is this a recurring payment?
For full membership accounts we provide the option to setup recurring payments, or if preferred you can pay-as-you-go, based on your selected payment term.
Do I need to link my bank account?
No, you simply pay as you go using Paypal, our current online payment platform.
Do I need a paypal account to pay?
No. If you don’t have a Paypal account, you have the option to pay directly via credit card by selecting ‘Pay with Debit or Credit Card’ when on Paypal’s payment processing screen.
How do I cancel my account?
Simply hit the cancel subscription link and opt out. You will no longer have account access.
